Inspired by Belgium's cultural diversity, Nozari merges her Iranian roots with contemporary European influences to develop an abstract visual language built on a powerful color palette — magenta, orange, vibrant green — and layered surfaces that hold the tension between origin and arrival.

Different Kinds of Incomplete

Ballon Rouge Collective, Brussels

Nozari's first solo exhibition with Ballon Rouge. In this series, she achieves a collage-like feeling by producing different types of imagery on a single canvas — a chimera of registers and surfaces. At its centre, a recurring cup: a metaphor for painting itself, a space to be filled, a study on light, reflection, and the everyday. A utilitarian object returned to again and again, always with a new texture and perspective, as Nozari mediates between the abstract and the legible.
